Today I had a Aquaderm facial with Reina I’m Metropolis salon and spa and also a buccal massage. It was fantastic! She is very friendly and knowledgeable and my face feels like glass so smooth. It went from being extremely dry to highly moisturized.
Metropolis does not care about clients like me who have been going there for 20+ years and spend 1000’s per year at the salon. I had a very bad experience with Metropolis last week and that was the straw that broke the camel’s back. I had an appointment for nail polish removal at 12:45, I got a call from them at 12:44, when I was in parking lot and I told them I’m in the parking lot. When I got there the nail person ( short older woman with blondish hair who never looks happy) approached me aggressively and said you are late, I’m not going to be able to take care of you. I was so shaken up by her aggressive approach that I went to the counter and told them to cancel my other appointment too. I called up to talk to manager. Manager did not offer any apology. I told her, it would take a lot for me to go back to Metropolis and hung up. She never tried to call back or anything. Metropolis is overpriced.
The services I received were actually really nice, which is why it pains me to give them a two star review… Despite the fact that their listing says they’re open on Mondays they do not answer the phone on Monday nor are they actually in the salon because I drove over to try and set up an appointment since I’ve been calling every day for a week to try and get an appointment set up… I really wish I could give them a higher review because the ladies inside the salon are very nice and very knowledgeable. However, the customer service is horrendous. I shouldn’t feel like creating a spa day for myself is a chore. Maybe I’m just spoiled, but my last salon always answered the phone during their listed operating hours if that’s so hard??
I recently returned to the area and was looking for a salon for a very distinctive color and cut… My appointment was with Doris… I cannot begin to tell you how pleasant positive and thrilled I was with the overall visit… The girls at the front desk are so friendly and cordial… Doris spent quite a bit of time with me on my consultation asking me what I was looking for what my concerns were, and if I had any questions about products… She matched the color absolutely perfectly, and gave me an added treatment to add shine and gloss to my hair while cutting down the brassiness… The whole time my color was processing we chatted and became more Friendly and familiar with both her experience and my hair goals.… The other staff, including Deanna, who constantly checked on me asking me if I needed coffee, tea or water if there is anything she could do to make my stay more comfortable was so refreshing
after my color was finished processing, we went back to Doris’s station. She explained what she was doing and how to care for it every step of the way I am absolutely 100% thrilled with the outcome.!… Some of the products that she used during the visit or recommended, but there was absolutely no pressure to purchase anything that was out of my price range. I have two appointments with Doris already set up in four weeks and in eight weeks… Please check out metropolis and all of their services! You will not be disappointed. !!!!
