We can't say enough good things about Michael and Sons Auto Sales. We recently bought an SUV from them, and John, our salesman, is absolutely fantastic. John was patient, professional, and genuinely helpful throughout the entire process. What impressed us even more was how they handled things after the sale. The very next day, we ran into an issue with my car, and instead of brushing it off, they went above and beyond to make it right immediately. They even paid for our Uber so we wouldn't be inconvenienced while they fixed the problem. That level of care and responsibility is rare to find in car dealerships. I bought a used truck from Michael & Sons Auto Sales about a month ago and wanted to share my honest experience. Before I purchased the truck, I spoke directly with the owner. He clearly told me the truck came with a 90-day warranty, and I had until those 90 days were up to decide if I wanted to buy an extended warranty. That gave me some peace of mind, so I paid for the truck in full, in cash.
After the sale, I was told something completely different—that I now only had 7 days to buy the extended warranty, or I’d be stuck with no coverage beyond the basic 90-day warranty. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the extra money for that at the time, but I felt okay knowing I at least had the 90-day protection they promised.
Fast forward to today: the truck is now having major timing issues (just over a month later), and when I called the dealer, they told me I actually do not have the 90-day warranty after all. This was never mentioned during the sale, and it’s frustrating to be told one thing before buying, only to find out later it wasn’t true. Sucks for me but thankfully I have family who own mechanic shops and can give me major discount or else I’d be screwed.
Also, I was told I’d be getting two new front tires and they’d call me when they came in—that never happened either.
On top of that, I’m noticing some pretty shady bodywork that wasn’t obvious at first. I’ll be attaching a photo showing how the fenders looked the day I bought the truck vs. how they look now, just a month later.
I’ll be fair and say that aside from these issues, the people at the dealership were generally friendly and easy to talk to. But unfortunately, friendliness doesn’t make up for broken promises and misrepresenting warranty coverage. I would recommend anyone thinking about buying here to get everything in writing and double-check the conditions of everything on the vehicle
Overall a great experience, from start to finish. From the moment we arrived we were treated great by Keith. We were offered to look around and ask for the keys if we were interested in any test rides. We test drove a SUV liked it. We said we would be back later that day to do a little research on it. At no point was there any aggressive sales tactics. We came back later that day and bought the vehicle. Paperwork only took about 20 minutes and we were on the road. Would definitely consider shopping there again for another vehicle. Great staff and customer service.
