It is a beautiful place , peaceful, and the water is fresh and clean that you can walk in the river. But the only thing that you have to watch out especially for toddlers and babies is the mosquitoes I went with my wife and son and I there was so much mosquitoes. Sadly my son’s face is really swollen . Just keep eye on the mosquitoes. But is a really nice place .

Disappointed. Parking is only available on the street- Midwood Dr, closer to the intersection with the Lakeside Drive. There are many houses around the lake so for the most part the access is blocked off. On the Midway Dr there is a small opening where you can actually get close to the lake. On the right there are houses so walking by the lake feels like you are in someone’s backyards I have tried the “trail” upstream, and the green area to the left of the opening but is filthy and there is trash everywhere. Plastic bags, bottles, cans...
And we cross our path with a big snake.. Not worth it.

Great place to walk around and experience nature. I often come across deer and have even seen a fox or two. Also a great place to go fishing for those who enjoy that. I do wish everyone would take better care of cleaning up after themselves.
