Great food and the best Chinese take out spot in the area. It’s great to have a good place again after all the others went down hill in quality over the years.

Austin allways greets the customers and makes sure the orders are right.

You can always judge a classic take-out Chinese spot by two things: a sun-faded overhead menu and a kid behind the counter doing homework. The new Mr. Wonton may not have the discolored menu yet—but they do have a little boy at the counter, so they’re definitely on the right track!

The food is okay—not terrible, not amazing. I ordered the General Tso’s Chicken. My only real complaint (and this applies to a lot of take-out Chinese places) is the packaging. The plastic containers are incredibly shallow now (see picture). We’re paying more and getting less! Bring back the old, deeper containers and keep the price the same.

The service is solid. The young guy working the counter on a busy Saturday night was cranking out orders as fast as he could. He handled the rush really well—props to him.

The atmosphere is your typical take-out spot. On my last visit, it looked like they were putting up new chalkboard menus. And if the little kid is there, be ready for some chit-chat—he’s quite the talker (in a good way).

In conclusion, it’s not bad. I’d order from them again—but give it a try yourself and see what you think!
