Mt. Pleasant Villas

We have been living at Mount Pleasant Villas since May 2025 and we have had a great experience! Work orders are addressed promptly and Megan in the leasing office is always responsive to emails and friendly, too! She has always been so patient with my questions. We feel very safe living here and we love our neighbors! Our neighbors have been here for over 10 years! That says a lot. Everyone is courteous and it is very quiet and peaceful living here. Ample parking! Not to mention how nice it is to be close by to everything in the area. The apartment has been nicely updated and it is so spacious. We looked at another apartment in Raritan prior to touring and it was like a shoebox compared to Mount Pleasant Villas. When we toured this community we had the feeling that this was “the one” and we have had no regrets. We all know how expensive everything is now, but we feel like we got good value for what we are paying. We are proud to live here and we enjoy showing off our home/neighborhood to friends and family. It was a nice place to live for the past 3 years, however, we noticed a huge shift in the way the property was managed. The new management seems to never be around and never answer the phone. Every time I've called the leasing office, they've seemed to switch to a call center model, so you rarely, if ever, get connected to them directly. They seem to prefer to answer emails then interact directly with folks. It wasn't like that when we first moved in.

Prior management was very personable and responsive, and calling the leasing office was always answered directly by a staff member there; now, however, you'll have to wait for a call center agent to answer. They won't know what apartment or complex you belong to, so get ready to explain and wait for a call back from the leasing office. It's just an exhausting middleman thing that seems so unnecessary, especially if you just have a simple question to ask. Other than that, maintenance was quick to respond (once you get past the call center).

We had and newly renovated unit. It looked very nice. The in-unit washer and dryers were lame, but they get the job done. Overall, it's a quiet and nice place. Never had any car break-ins myself, though I've heard it has happened to other residents. It does seem overpriced if you ask me. But what isn't in NJ these days?

Mt. Pleasant, like its name implies, has been a very pleasant place to stay. Megan at the management office is always on top of it when it comes to communication about the property. The gym / pool has been so great too. It’s very quiet and it’s also so close to all the great shopping places and downtown Somerville. I have loved being here the past year, and have felt heard on any issue that’s been brought up. I highly recommend living here!

We have lived here for a year now and we love it here! The whole community is dog friendly with stations everywhere for waste and they even provide doggy bags. Everyone is very friendly. There is a nice sense of community living here. The management has been great. They quickly respond to all emails and any requests for maintenance. The apartments are very clean and freshly renovated. We are very glad to call Mt Pleasant Villas our home.
