The food, staff and environment are amazing. Monica was our server and she was such a doll. Everyone else was amazing, too. The pancakes (and the rest of the food) were DELICIOUS. Fast service and entertainment to read on the walls while you wait. The entrance is heated, too…lovely touch!
Love places like this! Sadly in NJ the quality of diners has gone down in general - which is why i was so pleased to find this gem in the heart of oakland.
Even outside appearance already sets a positive vibe! Colorful, clean and bright.
Inside - also very classy and authentic. Staff is nice and all smiles! They have liquor for those craving some buzz with their meal!
Menu is a typical diner menu - not the encyclopedia one - but big and broad enough for anyone to find something of their liking.
I opted for a Philly chicken wrap with sweet potato! Excellent meal! Tasted great - above expectations!
Place was busy for a Thursday - that is a sign of a good restaurant!!
Certainly will visit again when i am in the area! Thank you
Decided to stop here for lunch on a whim and was pleasantly impressed with the quality and quantity of food. I had a lunch special that included a soup or salad and a dessert. The lentil soup was very tasty. I ordered the farro salad with shrimp…delicious, fresh ingredients, and filling.
We really enjoyed our time here and will return.
The weather was perfect to take advantage of the outdoor seating area, which is really nice this time of the year and definitely recommended if you can use it.
The portions were fairly big, very tasty and felt like high quality ingredients, prices were average for the area (a bit more on the higher side for a diner, but I would call it an upscale diner).
As fit for a diner - huge menu with a lot of options.
I had been wanting Mexican food and The Oakland diner did not disappoint me. The carnitas, eggs, cheese, and the sauce was beyond delicious. Not to mention the coffee ☕ was the best that I've had. To go bag not needed 😂 the waitress was amazing, the atmosphere, and service is the best. I can't wait until I can go back
