Red Mill Inn

took several welfare client friends & acquaintances of mine, to and from this place--and heard nothing good about it, from them. and, judging grom the number of reviews, from real people (as opposed to the ones with anonymous, or unknown names, or from recent immigrants), that rip this place to shreds, in their reviews--I would say that this motel is a true "welfare motel", like the Sunset, on 202, or the Fountain, on 22 East--and every one I took there, complained about the bed bugs (at the Red Mill Inn). the location might be ok--but, is living in a place, surrounded by somewhat questionable characters (including the 6-legged ones, by the way!), really worth it? i don't know...I'll let YOU decide...

We stayed here for 10 months while we search to for a new home.
Pros:
-they allow pets (for a premium additional fee)
-when we left they returned our deposit in a reasonable amount of time
-nice quiet location
-cool little bungalow
-cool manager
-Cookie, one of the ladies that worked the desk, was the best! Such a kind woman
-friendly community
-landscape well kept
-the manager kept a very close eye on the property so we always felt safe. Thanks Dave!
-as long as you pay your rent on time amd you are respectful to to the facility then absolutely noone will bother you

Cons:
-severely outdated furnishings
-a little overpriced (we paid $1600 a month for a tiny bungalow
-greedy owner (my wife and I spent 2 hours scrubbing our little hut down before we left...still got stiffed with a $75 cleaning fee. WTF???)
-a week after we moved in I got bumps and pimples all over my wrists and feet. Never could figure out what it was. The doctor was miffed. I still have scars from how itchy it was. Not sure what it was but bed bugs were rulled out

Would I stay here again?

Only if we got the same little bungalow. I would never stay in one of the small rooms unless I was there alone
