Was looking for a local mechanic and always prefer small business when I have a choice so I gave them a shot. First was rear brakes on my Subaru and price fair but had to bring back as parking brake did not hold. No issues.
Following week I need to have my Tacoma towed in as it would not start Finished ahead of schedule but cost was very high. I expect to pay for the diagnostics labor and parts. The part was no more than $400-$450 on line and at auto parts store and was charged over $800 for the part. I get it and there should be a mark up on parts but this was 80-100% mark up on top of the labor. Called and expressed concern but no relief gained.
I rarely, if ever leave bad reviews but felt I needed to after mulling it over for a week.

The check engine light came on in my car the other day and I called this place seeing if they would be able to take a look and do any required repairs. Even though he didn't have room in his schedule to fix the car, he said he would be happy to run a scan to determine why the light came on. We drove there a few minutes later and he took care of us right away free of charge. That was a very kind thing to do and we really appreciated it. I think this willingness to help us says a lot about the type of business he runs.
