Nice area to do a little hiking at, safe, I didn’t see any sketchy people, deer are around so wear spray,

Rifle camp is a wonderful place to observe nature and the beauty of the surrounding area. There are trails, and observatory, a pond, picnic areas, a bird trail and much more. Less crowded than the neighboring Garret Mountain, it's a terrific refuge for solace and families.

Beautiful experienced, I recommend this trial is about one hour, there's a lot of nature to enjoy!

Really nice family park with views of nyc. There’s good places to eat in the surrounding area. There’s a lot of tables, easy to have a picnic or eat lunch in the park. There’s a lot of ticks here though so be careful, I’ve found them on myself and my dogs.

As a long time resident of NNJ, I have heard about this park but just never visited before. I finally made my way to Rifle Camp Park this weekend.

To be honest, I've been to better parks. Some of the scenery was beautiful but it was lacking some impressive. The park only has two trails: red and yellow. The red was easier so if you're looking for more of a challenge, pick yellow. There were more inclines on yellow, rocky terrain, and more interesting scenery as well. I didn't see any maps available at the park to mark the trails but the access points are through each parking lot. The red trail did make a full loop around the park. A big plus is that majority of the hike is shaded.

The park has a lot of construction ongoing so hopefully more improvements to come.

Overall, I enjoyed my time here but would choose to go another park instead for more challenging hikes.
