My husband and I went to the light show at the 5:30 time slot on a Friday. We were entertained! The lights didn’t move or dance to music and the Christmas radio station they had affiliated was a bunch of ads when we arrived so we put on our own Christmas music lol. You get to drive along the back of the outfield. We enjoyed some spiked hot chocolate around the fire pit, spent a few minutes looking at the booths inside (bought a bookmark and sticker!). We were done in about an hour, before it got busier with big groups of kids and families. The hubby and I really just wanted something festive to do that didn’t require driving too far east where there’s traffic, and we had a cute time just the two of us.
Christmas light show is Just amazing , beautiful and incredible. Very positive atmosphere and the threats and rides are so nice.
The drive-thru Christmas light show was really nice and long enough to feel worth it. You only need to buy one standard admission per car, which is great. There were a few interesting holiday shops, plus about five rides and a popcorn/cotton candy stand.
Since we went in late November, it was super cold, but the fire-pit area with hot chocolate and s’mores was a cozy touch. The Santa photo section had a long line, but overall the kids had a lot of fun. 4 out of 5 stars! I just wish there were a few more activities for kids—like a real kids’ train ride or an extra-large Christmas tree for photos.
A great place to take the little ones. Santa is there, and they offer hot chocolate and s’mores. They even have a couple of rides for young kids, including a small Ferris wheel. The restaurant is very good, and overall it’s an enjoyable experience for the whole family.
Want it more upbeat or more formal? I can adjust it!
Not a real pumpkin to be seen... If that okay with you, you do you. Let's start with what was good or even great. Lots of parking, and it's free! There's a great kids ride area (little kids) Ferris wheel merry-go-round things like that. They have what looks to be a nice sit down restaurant. If your group is more than 4, make a reservation!. Behind the restaurant there's a large open area the "beer garden". There's a fire pit and s'mores and pumpkin painting. It really is a nice area for the family for kids of all ages for pumpkin lovers and to be fair picnic tables, etc.. It's the only place here at Skylands where you'll find actual pumpkins. The ballpark concession is open for hotdogs, chicken fingers, burgers, you know ball park fare. Out in the "Beer Garden" It's cash only with no shortage of draft beers, canned beer and premixed drinks. We had a party of eight and everyone was able to find something they would eat and/or drink. The night we went there was live music and all in all it was a nice experience and it looked like the kids were having a great time and to be fair five dollars for a four pack of s'mores seems like a real value.
Now the jack-o'-lantern walk-through I'm convinced there was not one actual carved pumpkin in the entire walk-through. They were fake plastic concocted things. That was disappointing. However, the corn maze may have made the whole thing worthwhile. The maze (in the dark) ends in a faux grave yard. We guessed all those who never made it out. LOL... The walk-through ends of the petting zoo. And you're back to the beer garden and fire pit to warm up and maybe one more roasted marshmallow before the ride home. If you have little kids, this looks like a great place. The fire was warm and the beer was cold and the food was well ballpark. If you're looking for real jack-o'-lanterns, you know hand carved pumpkins, I couldn't find a one. :(
