Can't say enough good things about Silver Canoes. Efficient, professional, accommodating and just nice people all around. We have rafted with them for several years now, often multiple trips in the same week, and every time had good experience. It's important to know that the part of the river they operate on is not for those seeking adrenaline high. It's mostly calm part of the Delaware river with occasional rapids that is ideal for families or those who just want to enjoy a day in nature surrounded by amazing views. Follow directions and safety precautions - and you are guaranteed to have an awesome time! We are very grateful to Silver Canoes for making great memories and enhancing our summers! Highly recommend.

I cannot say enough of wonderful things about this place!
    1) the staff was so kind and accommodating while dealing with a river delay. Also we needed a ride after our float and they gave us one into town since the taxis weren’t running
    2) the river float was fantastic! I’m pretty sure silver canoe is the only one with tubes. It’s preferred over rafting
    3) process to get in/out and bus transit is seamless
    4) the port jervis train station is just 5 min drive away. So it’s a perfect day trip from nyc

A brilliant afternoon on the Delaware river with Silver Canoe company, everyone was super friendly, the drivers, the shop staff and the people at the river . We had a wonderful experience even if our paddling was definitely rubbish and were able to navigate the short 3 miler with no problems. Seeing the Eagles fishing on the river and resting in the trees was a sublime and beautiful addition to our day. Would highly recommend .

The staffs were so friendly and professional. We signed the waiver online and they have everything printed out and made the process so easy and fast. They do have paper waiver for customers to sign if they didn’t do it online. They have porta-potties and changing room in the parking lot, and the parking lot is big and flat.

We have about 50 people including kids from age 1 to age 14, most were second time rafting and some were 1st time rafting. We had friends who don’t swim
They have different sizes of life jackets from toddler size to adult XXXL, and they were all dry for us to choose. They also have adult petite size, without having to worry about too big and not comfortable to move around.
The raft wasn’t small, it can sit 6 big adults. You can bring a 58 qt cooler without an issue.

The weather wasn’t sunny which was so nice and comfortable. Temperature around 70F. The water level is higher than last year due to the rainfall, the water current wasn’t too strong, most of time was so clam, only 2-3 spots the water current is rough, even though the water didn’t splash on us. It was better when the water level is higher, so less chance to stuck on rock this year.

We chose the 9 miles rafting trip, it took us about 4.5 hours total in the water and including we stopped twice for lunch and swimming for an hour.

There were 2 spots that we can park our 7 rafts together.

THERE WAS NO CELLPHONE SIGNAL, so more relaxing.😬 and we saw big Eagles, great blue Heron and some ducks during the rafting. A good way to get away from busy life.

We will definitely come back to Silver Canoe next summer.

Friendly and accommodating staff. First time white water rafting, it was very beautiful and calm for the most part. I think this is the perfect place for a first-timer as I hear it can be a little rough in other rivers. I was able to bring a 58 quart cooler on the raft, which also seated 4 adults and 3 kids. Definitely will go back.
