The Brick House

Not good enough for the price.

One glass of wine came out with a fly in it, they forgot the scotch in the scotch and soda.

Most of the apps were good, clams and calamari. The steaks were good, but my medium rare was more medium.

The fries were soggy garbage. The steak sauce was tasteless. They gave me ketchup in a plastic container like you’d get at a fast food burger joint.

Service was quick but not really friendly.

Expected better

I had lunch at the Brick House with my wife. We shared smoked salmon as an appetizer, and I had wild Atlantic salmon as an entrée, while my wife had broiled sea scallops.

Everything we ordered was delicious, and the service was excellent as well. The atmosphere was upscale, yet causal. I highly recommend Brick House.

In addition, the price was reasonable for an upscale restaurant.

Outstanding Dining Experience at The Brick House!

We had an incredible lunch at The Brick House—from start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The standout was their Asian calamari special—hands down the best we’ve ever had! It was bursting with flavor, perfectly crispy, and had just the right touch of sweetness.

Our table enjoyed a variety of dishes, and every plate was exceptional. The ribeye steak was cooked to a flawless medium rare, incredibly juicy and tender. The calamari and mushroom specials were also a hit, full of depth and savory notes. I personally had the whole bronzino, and it was absolutely delicious—fresh, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented.

Service was equally impressive. Our main waiter was extremely professional, attentive, and made the experience even more enjoyable. The entire staff was warm and welcoming. The atmosphere is clean, comfortable, and inviting. We appreciated the ample parking, and while we didn’t use valet during our afternoon visit, it's available in the evening.

Highly recommend The Brick House for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience!

Tim and his team at the Brick House helped provide the perfect venue for my daughter's Bat Mitzvah! The cocktail hour was spectacular, the food was amazing, the space was beautiful and Tim was very thoughtful working with our party planner CBC Events (he recommended) to ensure everything was the way we wanted it. If you are looking to plan an important occasion in your life and you are searching venues in Bergen County, look no further than the Brick House! Everyone is still talking about the place, the food and the entire experience. Bravo!

Finally, the wife and I locked the kids in the basement and got out for a date night! Just kidding, they went to a fireworks show! We wanted to try a place that we hadn't been to for dinner. Both of us have been here before for business lunches, but never for dinner. Phenomenal place for a high end burger amd fries that are addictive. It certainly did not disappoint for dinner. The staff was extremely friendly, classy and attentive, The atmosphere is classic and elegant. They have a very warm and inviting bar to have a drink at before you dine. They do have rooms for catering events such as weddings or smaller rooms for gatherings for business or parties. Food is excellent.
