I love this place. It's my go to AYCE KBBQ. The food is delicious, the meats are fresh, and the staff are always friendly. The brisket, garlic cube steak, and cast iron steak are my favorite things to get. It's definitely worth indulging in.
First time visiting, and it didn’t disappoint!
We came as a group of six and had a great time. Kalai was our host, and she was amazing—super attentive and friendly.
This is an all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ, which means you can keep ordering whatever meats and sides you want. I especially loved the popcorn chicken as a side—so good!
The meats were cooked perfectly and full of flavor. They also provide a nice variety of sauces and some salt to enhance the taste. I personally loved it.
We’ll definitely be coming back.
Just a heads-up: the sodas are not all-you-can-drink.
I come to this HMart a lot and always wanted to try Cast Iron Pot. We finally came for lunch on a Saturday at around 11:30 and there was already a line, even though the restaurant just opened at 11. We waited about 15 minutes because only one side of the dining room was open, which was the non-stroller friendly side. Pricing is weekend dinner prices, so $41.95 per person. We had a party of four (not including the baby), so we were able to try a variety of items. Favorites include the garlic butter steak (my top pick - this was very tender and flavorful), pork jowl, hanging tender steak, steamed egg, and japchae, which was Korean restaurant quality. The spicy squid was surprisingly tender but a little fishy. None of us liked the beef thin brisket, which was really just like hot pot beef - not good for grilling. It was also very fatty. The shrimp was terrible. It was mushy and tasted like it had been dead for a while.
I liked all the pickled options - they had pickled onions, and pink radish slices. It really helped cut the heaviness of all the meats we ate.
I would definitely come back next time I have a KBBQ craving, especially now that I know which dishes to order and which to skip. It's a pretty reasonable price if you really think about it because you get a good variety, and non AYCE Korean BBQ is so expensive nowadays. I just wish they had galbi, but it's not a deal breaker.
The Cast Iron Pot is great if you want Korean bbq but don’t want to cook it yourself. The staff cook the food directly in front of you. If you’re looking for the experience of cooking it yourself this wouldn’t be the spot for you.
Overall we had a great time. It was plenty of food at a great price. I feel like the downfall was the quality of the meat wasn’t as great with more fatty pieces. Our server was friendly and gave us new meat that were on the leaner side.
The flavoring / sauces are limited though and we were only fans of a couple of the meats.
MEAT! My recommendation was the Beef Thin Brisket with the Sweet Soy Sauce, it was ABSOLUTELY divine. We went in around 12:15 so it wasn't as busy as we thought it would be.
I also do not recommend wearing anything light-colored or white clothes to this place as meat or sauce may jump out at you. I got touched by some and was very grateful it went on my hand not my shirt.
We ordered a variety of meats including 3 rounds of the Beef Thin Brisket, 1 order of Cast Iron Steak, Marinated Chicken, and Top Blade Steak. All delicious but my favorite was the Brisket. Not too chewy and with a pinch of salt has so much flavor!
The staff was very attentive and was always around if you needed anything refilled or replaced.
