I've only been to this library one time. A woman walked in with her children who then started to play. The two librarians at the desk made rude comments about the small children making a mess and not cleaning it up afterwards. Then I was in there printing papers out for long term disability due to a very severe car accident. The one librarian went off to make a joke to the other librarian about walking her out to her car because of a prior injury she has suffered. The customer service was terrible. I even bought raffle tickets and tried initiating conversation about when the tickets would be drawn and one librarian said it says it on the sign right there. I apologized because I have very poor vision. Libraries are supposed to be based off acceptance for adults and children of any standard with or without a disability. It definitely was not welcoming to say the least and I'm very taken back on the attitude this location gave off.

I have done many wonderful, fun things at this library! I was able to walk in and get the latest books that I was put on a wait list for with the Monmouth County on-line book program!
I’m taking sewing lessons! Very proud of my progress! Diane, the instructor is so sweet!
They have a monthly tea with fun games - bingo, cards, trivia, etc. I’m making new friends, and enjoying laughs with old friends!
The Bayshore Knit and Crochet Group meets there and makes lovely things for patients in hospice, hospitals, nursing homes. If you have nice yarn you would like to donate, there is always a need!
Their children’s programs are amazing! Crafts, movies, library tours, sewing for girls and boys, yoga, themed events, plays - this winter was Scrooge! Many of these events are FREE! What a lovely GEM tucked away in the middle of Union Beach, NJ!💕
