Easy to schedule appointment for my MRI. I walked in early for the appointment as I needed X-Rays taken as well. They took me in quickly and immediately afterwards I was taken into the MRI area and treated with respect and efficiently. Everything went smoothly.
I came in for an MRI. I was very nervous about it as I do suffer from mild claustrophobia and I knew what to expect since this wasn’t my first MRI. It was however my first time at this location.
The facility is new and clean. The front desk staff is polite and checked me in on time and quickly. The gentleman who walked me to the change room and confirmed all my details was also polite and professional.
So why the 2 star review?
I found the MRI techs to be unprofessional and not compassionate. In the past, at other locations, I was always asked if I was comfortable. I would be offered a choice of music to calm my nerves while in the machine. Here, I had to ask if I could listen to music because half an hour of being trapped in an MRI machines listening to loud sounds fighting claustrophobia isn’t easy for me. Her response was something like “ok, I can get you headphones but will you be able to hear the music? Probably not”. Then she turned on some music I after placing headphones on me that was the opposite of calming so I asked if there was an option for different music and her reply “what do you want to hear?”. At any rate, some relaxing music is as selected with such low volume that it was pointless. At no point, was I asked if I am doing ok. Just quick updates on how much longer. I was struggling to stay calm and breathe and asked at one point if I could take a break. She said no. Understandable. I hung in there best I could.
When the procedure was finally over and I was being taken out, you would think she’d ask how I feel or how it went. No, the two techs were just busy having their own conversation about their weekend. Not a word spoken to me. They did paused their conversation briefly to ask me to sit so my IV could be removed but then promptly returned to their own conversation. Just chatting away as if there was no patient in the room.
I will avoid this location next time. Very unpleasant experience.
Everyone at Monroe ur were very friendly and my appointment was completed on time as scheduled. I would recomend anyone who needs a test of any kind should have it done here because results are reported quickly and professionally.
The staff at the Monroe office was polite, knowledgeable, and made you feel welcome. The ultrasound technician was knowledgeable, professional, and addressed my concerns with respect. Highly recommend!
The staff is amazing. Especially the ladies at the front desk i had a problem with my paperwork and the wonderful lady actually helped me like it was no big deal i felt bad the line grew but they all made me feel like they deal with theses things all the time. The people in the back are amazing as well. Also they are very effective.
