Ark is trustworthy, honest, conscientious, respectful, polite; not to mention extremely knowledgeable and professional. Also, he is so personable and easy to talk to that you feel like you've known him for years.
We first met Ark of AKO Builders years ago when he gave us options/estimates for a deck around our above ground pool (a project we never had done and no longer need). His honesty and the time he took with us stayed with us which is why we called him last year to build a fence, during which the quality of his work was evident. He was able to match it to a neighboring one and, as requested, re-use parts of our original fence complete with a gate so it extended naturally to enclose our yard.
Recently we contacted Ark for removing and re-building our lake-front deck. As usual, he provided thoughtful design suggestions and helped us choose materials and colors that look fantastic and integrate beautifully with our backyard. His crew was hardworking, respectful and on-site every day often till after dusk. Ark personally checked in during the job to make sure everything was on track and we were happy with each phase and to answer any questions we may have had. We couldn't be any happier with the way our new deck looks - it is beautiful!!

My kitchen was 43 years old and needed everything replaced. Walls, ceiling, floor, electrical, plumbing, cabinets were all demolished and replaced to our specifications. His workers were not only craftsmen, but cleaned up after themselves daily, well beyond our expectations. The owner, Arkady, (ARK) was very responsive, solved any problems that occurred, and when replacing 43 year old construction you know you’re going to have problems. He even solved some issues that occurred with the kitchen Cabinet Company and there were no extra charges. His pricing was very reasonable and with the increase in material prices due to the supply chain restraints, he honored his original quotes. I could not be more happy and I’m honored to recommend him to anyone who needs a professional contractor.

OUTDOOR DECK:
He also replaced my second story outdoor deck. Again my deck was over 40 years old and in desperate need of repair. Ark advised us to put the stairs in a different place than the original design and it is so much better. My yard looks bigger with much more usable space. The deck itself came out great and we are more than pleased. Hopefully the pictures will do him justice. I would not hesitate to use him again and I readily give him the highest recommendation possible.

Ark is extremely knowledgeable, professional, fair, and a real pleasure to work with. He stopped by every day to check on the progress and to go over details with us. He provided helpful insight into the design and choice of materials, particularly the rails and skirt.

Mattas was the lead carpenter on our job and his carpentry skills are exceptional. He is meticulous, focused, and takes pride in his work. His partner, Arsen, was professional, conscientious, and hard working.
They demolished and removed our old wood deck impressively neatly and swiftly. They worked through several days of extreme heat and beating sun and never slowed down. They were punctual, worked long days, cleaned up the jobsite before going home each evening, and completed the job sooner than we ever expected.

This was the most pleasant experience that we have ever had with a contractor doing work on our home, and the deck came out even more beautiful than we could have hoped for.

I don't even know where to begin! I hired Ark for a major porch/deck rebuild/reimagine and wow did he and his team deliver. I initially called him based on the amazing google reviews and even asked him if they were real--he assured me every single one was from a satisfied customer. Hiring a contractor for a major project is intimidating to say the least, but after meeting Ark and going over my vision of what I wanted, I felt completely at ease and confident that I hired the right company. His employee Matt is amazing, he was the major deck builder and worked tirelessly every single day for two weeks--everything is PERFECT, it is strong, safe, beautiful and even, I can't say enough about what a lovely and talented young man he is. Then the finishing work--framing out and installing doors, and custom screening for part of my deck, wow. I cannot tell you how beautiful it is, we are beyond thrilled. It's like I added an entire room to my house, and it looks like it belongs there. Fair prices, honest, comes when they say they will, pleasant, easy communication--by far the best experience we have ever had with a contractor. And, they protected my bushes and flowers, not one broken stem!! The photos don't do this project justice, but take a peek!

AKO Builders did a great job on my recent kitchen renovation. Ark, the owner is easy to work with and his team is professional and does excellent work. The work behind the walls is as nicely done as the walls themselves and things in front of them.

Ark the owner is an excellent general contractor and he hires professional workers who take pride in their work. Ark is reliable and easy to work with and checked in and worked on the project every day. Everyone who works for him was respectful of my home, friendly, and did quality work - often beyond what they had to do. The subcontractors all did excellent work on the electrical and plumbing parts of the job as well. The job was completed in a very reasonable amount of time and for the agreed upon price.
