My son first salon wash and blow out service. Excellent service. Everyone was friendly and he enjoyed his visit.

Alejandrina is without question a talented and amazing hairstylist. Her prices are more than fair for the fabulous work she does. My daughter has been going to her for years. Alejandrina has created sweet 16, prom and holiday looks for her that were unforgettable. My daughter usually wears her hair in protective braids. When braids are taken out, the hair can be unusually dry. However, as I stated, she has been a customer for years. Perhaps yesterday was an off day but a salon experience should make you feel pampered. You should walk out the door feeling like a million bucks. It was my daughter’s birthday and I offered to treat her to Alejandrina s hair magic as a gift. The new salon is gorgeous so it seemed like the perfect start to a special day. Unfortunately, the young lady washing my daughter’s hair acted unprofessional and immature. She was audibly grunting and making exasperated motions as she combed the deep conditioner through my daughter’s hair. Clearly, she was out of her depth. So over-dramatic and unnecessary. She finally asked the manager if my daughter recently had braids taken out because the hair was so tangled. This was loud and said across the room where other employees and customers could hear and stare, thereby causing my daughter to feel embarrassed. Next, my daughter went to Alejandrina’s chair for styling only to be met with “hurry up! I have other customers”. I was in shock when she told me what she experienced, especially from Alejandrina. My daughter was practically in tears. She left the salon and said she intends to never return. I felt terrible because she was upset on her birthday. Losing one customer may not mean much. Hopefully, this is not the systemic purging of African American customers who are paying customers, contributing to the growth, and deserve to feel valued. It is wonderful to see a woman of color grow, become successful, and expand. Young girls admire this and become inspired. Therefore. I hope these issues will be addressed so that ALL girls will be treated with exemplary professionalism and respect moving forward.
