Got the chopped cheese because of the shopkeeper’s recommendation . They have a very big vegan menu. You have to scan their QR code to get the menu. Tasted really good.
Doesn't look like much on the inside. The staff will let you be if you don't greet them first but after that they are very friendly & help on pointing out all their options. Many Vegan & other food options. Also some vegan sweets! Very happy about that. Will come back once I've tried what I got!
It's a very cramped and cluttered store. Not very clean and shiny but still typical of a New York deli. I want because they have a number of vegan options. I bought a whoopee chocolate cream pie. When I went to the counter and heard the price I was shocked to hear it it was $8, she insisted that I was the first one to have this reaction because vegan specialty foods tend to be more expensive. I still felt like it was extremely steep for this whoopie pie. But then she proceeded to charge me $9 because apparently there's a fee to use a credit card without even warning me. The whoopie pie tasted well enough but not mind blowing or memorable , I can't imagine I would ever be craving it. More appropriately priced at maybe four or five dollars. Is commendable to carry a number of vegan options but I feel the prices are just too steep. Especially because she did not make this in house it was something that was brought in.
Not sure why this place has lower than 4 stars. People should be comparing it to other delis, not to the 3x as pricey restaurants they eat at.
They do a really good job here at implementing NY cuisine with faux meats. I’m a huge fan of vegan proteins in general and think they nailed how to cook the chik’n. Haven’t tried their impossible/beyond burger. The seitan could’ve been seasoned more and cooked longer tbh. The tofu scramble part of the sandwiches was also cooked with proper seasonings. Great place to get vegan/vegetarian food. I wouldn’t recommend delivery unless you’re gonna eat it immediately: the sandwich can get soggy from the sauce.
