A beautiful, cooperative spot on o e of the best beaches in the world. AMC’s commitment to diversity and making nature accessible to all people is admirable and the reason I keep coming back!

The AMC Fire Island Cabin is the best way to experience one of the Northeast's most unique communities and habitats. It's communal beach living vibes at their best all summer. It's set on the Atlantique bay and just a short sandy walk to the ocean surf. Experience life at night with clear starry skies and the serene quiet of no traffic noise (cars are not allowed on the island without special permits). Take the LIRR to Bay Shore. Walk, bike, or take a shuttle to the Fire Island ferries and head to Atlantique. It's a short walk along the bay from there. Planned, volunteer-led activities every weekend or just stay the night and do your own thing. Happy hours on Friday and Saturday. Communals meals provided for Saturday dinner and continental breakfast Saturday and Sunday. Just don't forget lunches, snacks, a water bottle and Friday dinner! Bring your own meals for weekday stays.

The most narrow point on Fire Island so steps between the bay and ocean. I have been visiting the cabin for 20 years enjoying the kayaks, sailboats and now paddle boards. A wonderful and affordable spot to visit.

This is a gem for everyone on this barrier island. They offer programs such as yoga, kayaking, hiking, to enjoy the nature on the island. The scenary from this cabin on the Great South Bay is fantastic. The organic garden grows veggies and flowers for the visitors to enjoy. I made so many like-minded friends who love the nature and activities. The pricing is very reasonable considering other accommodations on Fire Island.
