Bernetta's Place Inn by the Lake

Just had our first stay at Bernetta’s. When we arrived, the property and accommodations far exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the carriage house with our dog. It was quiet, cozy, charming and had everything we needed. There were chocolate chip cookies waiting on the table for us. The property is completely fenced in, so our dog loved exploring the grounds. Hope you are hungry in the morning, because Bernetta serves the most delicious and filling breakfast. We really enjoyed everything about our stay and Bernetta makes you feel right at home. She was kind enough to suggest dog friendly restaurants, make reservations for us, and offered many suggestions on things to do in the area. The Inn is only 15 minutes from Minnewaska State Park. It might have been our first stay, but it won’t be our last.

We stayed at this charming BnB for two days and absolutely loved it. The cottage had a rustic charm, and Bernetta, the owner, was incredibly thoughtful—she even baked a fresh cake to welcome us!
Breakfast both mornings was delicious and homemade by Bernetta herself. The big outdoor space was perfect for our pup, who had a blast playing with hers. It was our pup’s first trip, and we couldn’t have picked a better spot.

Bernetta’s Place Inn by the Lake is a peaceful and beautiful place to stay. The grounds are lovely ,with flower and vegetable gardens creating a serene and tranquil atmosphere. You can further unwind with a refreshing swim in the saltwater pool. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. The bed was king sized and quite comfortable. For added convenience there was a kitchen, den, and private entrance. Bernetta is a wonderful cook and baker. Her homemade breakfast is a definite highlight. Bernetta’s warm hospitality, great accommodations, and delicious breakfast make it a stand out option.

My wife and I went to Bernetta's Place for a long weekend with our Boston Terrier. The Inn's grounds are beautiful and expansive. The entire area is fenced off, which makes it great for bringing a dog. Breakfast is included and was delicious. There was a Mexican style egg breakfast one day and the other day had some nice Pumpkin waffles, great for the fall environment. The host also offered great recommendations of local restaurants and hikes as well. We all had a great time and will definitely revisit in the future.
