Could always get a game at the basketball courts here. Level of hoopers is low. Get a little sweat in before taking a dip in the ocean to cool down.
Could also ignore the squeakers and do some calisthenics for a pump at the playground.
The playground is generally suitable for children to play and run around. However, there is an issue with the swing area being located next to the adult play area, where people frequently smoke. This is unhealthy for the children and the adults in the neighborhood should be mindful of the presence of children and refrain from smoking in their presence. The adults in the neighborhood tend to use the park frequently, and I suggest that they make an effort to consider the needs of the children.
Very nice park for little ones. Especially 2 and up. In the summer they have a water fountain the children love to run through. It's been quite dirty since De Blasio ruined the city and hopefully a new mayor will do a better job with budgeting.
Awesome park the kids loved it highly recommended. Bring your kids here from morning to night. They have slides, ways sprinklers to cool off chess tables and more. Best of all this park is route off of the beach so you can go to the beach while you're kids play in the play ground. Win win for everyone. Try it out.. They have municipal parking available although it may get a bit pricey.
