Visited Manhattan Beach Park recently. It’s a decent spot — clean beach, nice views, and enough space to walk around. Families can come here, spend some time, and relax. Nothing extraordinary, but overall a good park, pretty much like most regular ones.

This place is a hidden gem. Plenty of parking, the park provides free rental of beach wheelchairs for those who require wheelchair accessibility, the picnic area is the width of the beach and is very clean, the beach is well kept and bathrooms are good and clean. Outdoor showers are plenty like every 50 feet to rinse off after being on the beach. Having a place like this among the five boroughs is sweet and the parks staff are very polite and kind

Our favorite beach in Brooklyn—far better than Rockaway Beach. There’s paid parking, and you can always find a spot. It’s calm, quiet, and perfect for a barbecue. In the off-season, I even bring my dogs. A great spot for a picnic, and it’s never too crowded.

Decent beach for what south Brooklyn has to
Offer. Definitely better than Coney Island, I would avoid that with a 10 foot pole. They charge $25 cash or $26 card for parking on the weekends here. There’s tables here to set up for bbq by the parking/park. The park has decent playground for kids and there’s even handball and basketball courts. They also have a small food and drink shop that also sell ice cream, Italian ices, and beach toys. As for changing stations, there’s two men’s and two women’s restrooms, albeit not the cleanest. If you do care to dip in the ocean water, just be mindful of people and the constant whistle from the life guards on duty warning the careless ones from drifting afar or rough housing in the ocean. All in all, a decent spot for south Brooklyn residents to enjoy the summer; rather than trekking it to Long Island.
