Had a great walking experience along the Hudson, clean and green.
Great use of former landfill. Bald eagles have a nest here we see them frequently.
This park is amazing for walking, running and biking. The park has very smooth roads for biking and great trails for walking and running. It's pretty amazing how they constructed this park. There is tons of parking and two walk in entrances along Arthur kill road.
My only wish would be that it had a connection to the greenbelt trail across the water. Also the trails are usually overgrown in the summer. They don't really do a good job maintaining the trails which is a real shame because the best part about this part is when you get off the asphalt.
Clean, beautiful views, very slight inclines. Bug parking lot. Great place to ride your bike. Could use more signage for how to get to paths.
A great park for walking, jogging, cycling, rollerblading and bird watching. It does look like a sanctuary with a gorgeous view on the river and some woods in the backdrop (save for the annoying safety fence that ruins some of the views). There are not many trees within the accessible areas of the park itself, but it doesn't stop all these beautiful birds from nestling in the tall weeds and shrubs, or taking a splash in the water. Definitely bring your telephoto-lens camera or a pair of binoculars. You'll be astonished what you can spot. It's really hard to imagine this once used to be a municipal garbage dump! Well, definitely not anymore, so it's time to put on your running/hiking shoes and head out here.
