The drive to the winery is Serene! Scenic, beautiful houses and in October, the fall colors are in full bloom. Once there, you're welcome by a beautiful vintage backdrop of cottages. Inside, you're greeted by friendly staff. I was too late for a tour but the tasting was fantastic. John was my consultant and he's absolutely wonderful. I'm from TX and was saddened to learn they don't ship there. I was limited to buying only the bottles.
This place was wonderful! I absolutely loved the history-filled tour; the underground facilities are a true journey into the past. Seeing the barrels, the photos of the families who have worked at this vineyard, and the aromas—it was all very lovely. We went with a group of friends, and the wine tasting was absolutely fantastic, offering a great selection of wines. Without a doubt, my favorite was the Riesling and the sparkling rosé. Don't miss out on this unique plan for couples or friends!
Been here twice! Great place. Very friendly staff. Affordable wine prices and discounts when buying 6+ bottles. The only bad thing is the Restaurant is unreasonably expensive. 6 inch plain pizza is $12 and 6 inch pepperoni pizza is almost $19. Small box with a couple of pieces of cheese and pepperini small orange and hot pepper $28!!
But the place is great! I recommend!
We were excited to tour the oldest winery in the U.S. for $25 you get a tour and tasting. The tour was interesting and the hand dug caves are amazing! The wine is good and reasonably priced, and there is lots of outdoor seating to enjoy a glass of wine with friends. The reason for 3 stars is the atmosphere. The tour guide said multiple times during the tour and the tasting there is no rush, take your time, but that was not the vibe. At the end of the tasting we were given shopping instructions?!?! The tour group was too large and felt rushed. At the end of the tasting we were literally told we had to move away from the counter so they could reset for the next group.
Brotherhood Winery, the oldest operating winery in the U.S.🍷is a hidden gem just outside New Jersey. The historic underground cellars are fascinating, and the wine tasting offers a great variety-from sweet whites to bold reds. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is perfect for a relaxing weekend trip. 😄The only thing I didn’t like about the winery is that they don’t have a vineyard 🥲 but other than that whether you're into wine or just looking for a charming escape, Brotherhood is definitely worth the visit. 🫶🏻
