Calculated Confections

We were lucky enough to find Khadija and Calculated Confections to bake our wedding cake, and boy did she ever. The cake was absolutely perfect! We opted to do a smaller wedding cake and some cupcakes. Khadija was so easy to work with. Always answering our incessant emails and mind changes with kindness and professionalism. Taking time out to have a call with us to iron down the last of the details, and offering a nice variety of flavors and options. The cakes/cupcakes were so moist and delicious. They literally melted in your mouth. The buttercream was excellent, super smooth and not too buttery. She even provided gluten free cupcakes for our GF guests. We received so many compliments and many confessions of people going back for a second slice. If you are looking for a personal touch and a shop that wants to take the time to understand what you want and execute it perfectly then Calculated Confessions need be your only call. Top notch all around. Thanks for everything Khadija and team!!!

Khadija made the most gorgeous cake for my wedding I had a vision in mine and she executed it perfectly. Not only that but she is so kind and helped us decide on apple cider donuts as favors for our wedding even putting them in individual boxes with our initials wedding date and ribbon. Can’t recommend her enough.

Wow!! What can I say besides that we were absolutely blown away! Not only was the Nutella buttercream and vanilla cake that Carol made for us out of this world delicious, but her kindness and care made the whole experience even more special. Living in NYC, we’re spoiled with incredible bakeries and treats, but Calculated Confections is truly up there with the very best. Thank you, Carol, for your warmth, your artistry, and for creating such a spectacular and beautiful cake for Michael’s birthday!

All I can say is...yum! We booked Calculated Confections for our wedding. What sold us is when we came in for a taste test. Everything we sampled was delicious! It was so hard to choose what we wanted in the cake! She worked with us to have our cake turn out exactly how we envisioned. We were able to customize what flavors we wanted and even have the top tier (the tier we're saving for our first anniversary) be a different flavor/flavor combo from the other tiers.

Everyone at the wedding commented how delicious the cake was and were requesting slices to take home. She was able to deliver the cake to the wedding venue, which happened on time and without incident. All in all, I would recommend Calculated Confections. The price is fair, but most importantly, the confections are delicious!

We ordered a wedding cake for my daughter and now son-in-law from Calculated Confections and needed it to be gluten free (with no cross-contamination) and vegan. My daughter also wanted it to be lemon flavored with a blueberry filling. Khadija delivered an absolutely delicious and beautiful wedding cake exactly as my daughter wanted! We received SO many compliments and all of our GF family and friends, and those who are Vegan/dairy free, were thrilled they could not only enjoy the cake but also with how delicious it was! And our non-GF guests loved it as well! Khadija and her father made the whole process so much fun and she was so wonderful to work with - we couldn’t have been happier with our selection can’t thank them enough!!
