Family run roofing company, cannot give a higher rating. Owner available daily to evaluate progress, employees who have worked for the company over 25 years, started on time, finished extensive project when promised. Lucky to have been referred by our architect.

The team from Donald Brown roofing replaced some rotted T1-11 siding and some trim boards in August of 2022. In my opinion, the quality of their work is first rate; the prices are very reasonable; and Nick Brown and his team are pleasant and hard working. This firm is incredibly responsive to their customers. I could not be happier with how quickly they got the job done or the quality of the result. My family has lived in Hastings for many years and has called upon this firm many times, always with great results. They are responsive and reliable, and their work is excellent.
Update March 2023: Called on Nick Brown's team again, this time for a roof leak around some old vents and skylight. They came out right away, fixed the vents, sealed around vents and skylight. Beautiful job done with attention to appearance even though this part of the roof cannot be seen from the street. So thankful to have this local firm to call on. I can't imagine calling anyone else for roofing or siding.

After moving to the area we heard good things about the company. When it came time to replace our roof we chose to work with Donald Brown as they have a great reputation. Their stellar reputation is warranted. Our roof job was not typical as the house was 110 years old and still had the original roof. Also, there was a leaky flat roof portion that had needed repairs for decades. They found solutions to all the issues that arose and did a beautiful job replacing the roof and the gutters. We are admittedly particular and their work exceeded our expectations. We are very pleased. They are extremely professional and Nick is a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend this business.

Long established business, fair prices and no pressure. They did a great job on a new roof for us 10 years ago, and I called them for an estimate on gutters. Their quote was literally hundreds less than the other estimate we'd received.

Small, family run outfit that's been in our area for decades. The son Nick has now taken over, and seems to be continuing the great service. He told us our old gutters certainly needed to be replaced, but didn't ask for a commitment on the spot. I intend to call soon, though, since they'll probably have a backlog.
I don't make recommendations lightly, but this outfit deserves it.
