Beautiful modern accommodations. Exceptional service. Right on the boardwalk which gives you a front seat to the parade of colorful alternative people walking by. Beach is on the front side of apartment #1. Except for main holidays, the huge beach is very unpopulated. And even on holidays, there is still plenty of space to stretch out your beach towel. No lifeguards anywhere along the beach. No cars allowed on the island. Access only by ferry.
We have stayed at Dune Point Guest House two years in a row and will definitely make this an annual getaway. First, Cherry Grove is incredible. It's so beautiful there, and you never get tired of walking around and exploring the wooden walkways. As for the guest house, it is super clean, modern but not cold, and it offers so many extras that make the stay incredible. The location couldn't be better either. Highly recommend this guest house.
We went the first weekend in May and the weather was awful, cold and rainy. The rooms are not built for the cold so it was a bit chilly but the heater worked well. The management was great and even gave us some rolls and coffee when we arrived in the first ferry before any of the stores and restaurants opened, which was very nice. Everything was clean and comfortable and I would definitely recommend this place
We had a great 4 days staying at Dune Point. The room itself was nice and very clean and has everything you need, including beach equipment (chairs, towels, umbrellas etc) and the kitchen was fully equipped. The little private deck outside our room was super cute and comfy. Access to the beach was great through the building with the big deck, gazebo and awesome ocean views. I’d definitely stay there again.
Had an awesome time. The staff was courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable about what to do in the area. The room was brand new, with a modern design. The location was great, and depending on your room you were maximum a 30 second walk to the beach. The walk from the ferry was about 3 min and they have a cart available to carry your stuff. The room did have a laminated sheet with all the information about the amenities available, though it was unnecessary because they told us personally. The beach is gorgeous and you have perfect access from the deck as well as plenty of chairs to relax in. You could walk to the Sunken Forest Nature preserve in about 5 min. and there is a beautiful trail that dead ended because it seems that part of it was washed away from Hurricane Sandy. The staff treated us like friends and we are looking forward to going back again.
