Disrespectful stylist that lacks customer service skills. If you are looking for a stylist that gets offended when a client request a certain look then this place is perfect for you. I made sure BEFORE she started braiding my hair she knew the size/length of braids, how I wanted my parts and not to use too much jam/grease on my hair. 3-4 hrs into braiding my hair I asked her to redo ONE braid in the front because I did not like the way the knot looked close to my scalp, as she was taking out the braid she started to state that I was not allowing her to do her job because I would not allow her to use jam and I am requesting she braid a certain way, and she will not take me again as a customer. I let her know she was made aware of how I wanted my hair BEFORE she started braiding it and if she had an issue with my request she should not have taken me as a client. I wasn’t disrespectful and did not try to negotiate her price for her service even though I felt it was expensive and will gladly not return to her shop or refer anyone to her salon. The size/length of my braids was how I requested but the parts were not, she did not use too much grease/jam in my hair. I would have been happy to pay her $225 every 2 months with tip had she not lacked customer service.
I absolutely love the way my hair looks. There was no tension from pulling or being too tight! I dont trust people in my hair and I've been doing my hair on my own since I was 13. I'm 29 now, and took the chance to allow someone else to do my hair and I made the right choice. Been there twice and I'm planning on going again in about a week! Definitely 5 star work
They're a bit pricey, they're a bit slow but I'm completely satisfied with my hair . I showed a style and they delivered. My hair took 6 hrs. The longest it's ever taken but satisfied I was.
The second time I wanted a fairly simple style , I started at 5:30 finished at almost midnight . The young lady who were supposed to do my cornrows left for the supermarket and came back with bags while we waited for her. Still I accepted because my hair once again came out the way I wanted.
I'm here for a third time because I'm glutton for punishment I guess , I walked asked for a simple style with my own hair she said 120 I felt it was a bit pricey so I decided to do the same hairstyle with extensions for $ 20 more. The last 2 times I was there they were very pleasant this time they were rude, uninviting if it wasn't because I really needed my hair done and I couldn't go far I would of left . Although their Location and closing time is convenient I have to say it's my last time.
I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because the woman who did my daughter's hair was a bit late showing up for my daughters appointment. The work though that she did on my daughter was very nice and very good. My daughter had extensions and box braids put in so it took about 5 1/2 hours. They had two women split the shift on my her. The second woman who worked on my daughters hair was very nice. I am not too sure about the first lady who worked on her hair because she was just leaving out when I got there to pick her up. But my daughter said she was nice too, so I'll take her word for it. The neighborhood in this area in general is not the greatest, but I'm a native to Queens, so I knew how it was going to be before I went there. Also be careful while driving here if you're not taking the bus because it is Jamaica so it's like pothole city over there especially on the side streets.
