Very enjoyable hike! Although recommend waiting until the snow fully melts

Nice hiking trails, some in meadows (think sunny) but most in the woods (more to my liking). The long trail along the river is very nice. No trail markings or blazes (surprising) but the free map at the visitors kiosk (a short walk from the parking lot) is very helpful, along with a lot of other pamphlets and birding info. FYI there's no Visitors Center & no dogs are allowed. Several brand new picnic tables out and around the trails. An easy and wonderful way to get out into nature and do some bird watching. Definitely recommended!

Loved this bird sanctuary! We saw a blue jay, a cardinal and some vibrant black and yellow small birds (after we read the information panel so I'm not sure what they were).

    My first time here 4.22.2023
As you first start walking here lots of song birds. Bird watchers paradise
I loved the trails and the river. Lots of trails here. Did about 5.6 miles and still didn't do all the trails. I will definitely return
There is an overlook. The trees though beginning to leaf this time of year blocks the water below. Will go back in fall when the leafs change in color

This park is incredibly well maintained with clear markings of where the trails are and free maps for you to use. There are benches and picnic tables all over if you need to take a break. Most of the trails are flat and easy but, some are moderate hills. This is a great park to go hiking if you are recovering from some form of injury.
