What a great camp! I was there with Troop 106 from Hoboken in the mid-to-late '80s, and those were truly great times and memories. The tents, though... I'll never forget the crazy thunderstorm one July night. Several of our tents barely survived the lightning, fierce winds, and heavy downpour, but we made it! It's awesome to see the camp is still providing such great experiences for a new generation of scouts.
Great scouting fun. Not too large for summer camp, so walking to classes wasn't too exhausting. Monkey bridge was a blast and they enjoyed the zip line too
Best summer camp I’ve ever been to great food even better experience after the closing campfire I was holding back tears that was Friday July 25 so I knew it was an amazing summer camp miss the water front and hope to be back next year I had a great waterfront consler named Sasha she was an amazing person lifeguard and role model I will miss her he helps people by just being herself forestburgh if you could tell her victorious said this I think she would be very happy to know the full impact she had on me she was more than a consler she was a friend and a very good one this camp’s pictures do not do it justice and the view is breathtaking the friends you make along the way are great
A great place to camp out if you a scout. I’m from Troop 110 and we had a great experience except for the bear sometimes coming near our camp (it’s a cub and doesn’t show any aggression, yet) but besides the bear it’s a great scout camp and has many merit badges including environment related to art related. There are also some great hikes (I recommend taking a hike to Darlington falls.) Overall, great staff and a great place for troops to have summer camp at.
Always a great visit. Wish I was still a Leader so that I could bring my Unit to camp. Beautiful area surroundings.
