My husband was in need of medical attention today and made the wise choice to go to Garnet Health Medical Center emergency room in Middletown. Everyone we encountered was pleasant, knowledgeable, helpful and kind. From the nurse checking him in to the PA Toni Eaton who asked all the right questions and ordered all the right tests. Yes we were there a while but it was so worth it because he was treated by caring professionals who made sure everything was good before he was discharged. While waiting there was a lady next to us that had dementia. Their kindness and professional skills in dealing with a very difficult and confused woman was so wonderful to witness. They knew exactly what to do to make her feel safe and heard. Honestly, that says a lot about the level of training they have and the staff they hire. It’s never a pleasant experience to have to go to an emergency room, but honestly, we left feeling very comfortable with the care and skill of these under valued health care professionals.
