I visit the gateway often. I love the trail. It is so scenic. You feel as if you are in the deep woods. Then you walk around the bay too! You can see the Freedom Tower. Also, the birds are always around, showing off. Such a peaceful place.
Chill place along the main road to observe wild-life and take a stroll near the bay.
Amazing spot to spend some quality time by yourself. Make sure to bring bug spray; otherwise, you’ll be a good source of food for the local mosquitoes, lol. If you have a light kayak or inflatable boat, it’s a great spot for that. There is no visible current, and the water is shallow good spot for personal kayak . However, it's not the best spot for fishing; you might catch some small keski fish using a hand net.
First time I went there on thanksgiving day . It was such a nice weather to walk there. Quiet and full of things to discover.
Today it was so very crowded. Also extremely 🥵. The people are cool 😎. Lots of music, loud, lots of singing, lots of tents. We were sitting back far, I couldn't see the ocean.
