Came here for a holiday lunch and had such a great time. The food and drinks were really good, and the dessert was amazing — such a nice touch. The owner, Vinny, was super accommodating and made us feel welcome, and we even got to meet Chef Gabe, which was really cool. Definitely a spot I’d come back to and recommend.
The Goodhouse recently hosted the Mt Kisco Chamber of Commerce for our annual Holiday party. The owner and staff did a terrific job with the space. They took great care of us. The food and cocktails were top notch as well. Their concept with live music is a welcome addition to our community. It’s so nice for the public to have a new destination spot in Westchester county. Your business is adding to the appeal of our village in so many ways. Well done guys.
I ended a day trip to Mt. Kisco with dinner at Goodhouse, and it was the perfect finale! We sat on the rooftop, which was absolutely gorgeous, spr cozy and well-designed, with nice sunset views. The location couldn’t be more convenient, just steps from the train, which made getting back to NYC a breeze.
The scallops were incredible perfectly cooked and served in a rich mushroom broth. And the cookies with mini milkshakes for dessert were delish!!! An amazing spot for a client dinner, date night, or just treating yourself. Can’t wait to come back!!
Goodhouse is hot. Anyone who disagrees has bad taste (in my opinion). A genius couple, paired with an innovated chef, has curated ambiance and a menu that is undeniably great. The steak tartar & chips were nothing short of perfection. Jessica was my server, she was vivacious and funny. I will be back, and you should go too. This is not just a place to “get dinner”, it’s an experience from start to finish.
*also the boutique - I shopped forsure, its not everyday you can have a few drinks and go shopping for art & trinkets.
It might have just been a bad night, but the experience felt borderline discriminatory.
1. Reservations – I booked a table for 6:30, but when I arrived it wasn’t ready. They sat me at the bar, and 30 minutes later I found out the host assumed I was already seated. When I confronted her, she seemed nervous and unsure how to handle it.
2. Host – My guests were never greeted when they arrived; they ended up seating themselves. Thankfully we had rooftop reservations, otherwise it would have been worse.
3. Service – The only consistent attention we received was from Whitney, the water server. Our actual server barely approached the table and seemed visibly uncomfortable around us. As a result, once we finished our drinks, no one checked if we wanted another round.
4. Food – Two guests ordered the same chicken sandwich, yet the fries were served differently — as if they ran out and tried to disguise it. The sangria was mostly ice, making it watered-down wine at best.
Mike, the owner, did apologize for the night and was genuinely kind. He offered two free desserts and said he would take care of the mistakes on the bill. But when the bill arrived, we were charged for everything.
Yes, we’re a YOUNGER crowd, but we came prepared to spend , this was my friend’s last night in the States. Instead, it was a pathetic, overhyped experience that left a bad taste in more ways than one. The extra star is for Whitney.
