I recently visited the Hill-Hold Museum and was thoroughly impressed! The historic house-turned-museum offered a fascinating glimpse into the past, with an impressive collection of antiques and relics. The architecture of the limestone brick building, which once served as a school, was stunning. I enjoyed exploring the various rooms and learning about the history of the property. The museum's curators have done an excellent job of preserving the estate's original charm while providing an engaging and informative experience for visitors. Highly recommended for history buffs and anyone interested in exploring the region's cultural heritage. Five stars!

Even though we've lived in Montgomery for a long time, we have never been to Hill-Hold before. What a lovely tour! The house is beautiful and the guides very friendly and knowledgeable. They took infinite time to answer questions and engage the grandchildren in the experience. The snack and crafts at the end was a nice way to end the tour.

I enjoyed a Sunday afternoon tour with my husband and three of my children, aged 11, 9, and 7. The admission fee was very very reasonable. The tour guide was very kid friendly but also extremely knowledgeable. She helped my children experience walking with stilts and playing some other old school games.

The site itself is an interesting peek into a historical Hudson Valley farm, complete with quaint furnishings and old timey implements.

It was an inexpensive, educational, and pleasant way to spend an afternoon. I'm not sure how much younger children would enjoy it, and it's definitely not a place I'd take a stroller.
