Just wanted to say this was a wonderful 1st apartment that I have lived in for the past 2 years, it was a great experience and everyone at the location got back quickly when I had any issues and such, in the future if I ever see myself back in Hopewell I would definitely love to live back in this location again!
I lived in a studio at Hopewell Garden Apartments for the past 10 years, and my time there was wonderful. It is a quiet community located near Gayhead Elementary school, where I enjoyed taking walks to relax after my work. Living here is convenient because it is close to the Hopewell Junction library, Recreation Park, ACME Market, CVS, USPS, Chase Bank, etc. Additionally, it allows for quick access to the Taconic State Parkway and I-84 highway.
The management team, including Jeaninne and Lisa, along with the maintenance staff, did an excellent job! They promptly responded to my requests and resolved my issues quickly. The staff also constantly maintained the landscaping, regularly renewed the roofs, and effectively cleared snow during the wintertime.
Moreover, they made thoughtful and modern upgrades, such as installing an EV charging station, creating a pet play area, and adding lights with solar panels to enhance the living experience. One area for improvement, though, is upgrading the AC unit and possibly adding a microwave oven to my studio room. Last but not least, the management team quickly returned my security deposit in full without an argument after their inspection.
Overall, I was happy and satisfied with my stay at the Hopewell Garden Apartment. I appreciated the entire team’s effort in creating such a great living environment. If you are looking for an apartment to rent, I highly recommend visiting this place for your consideration.
Lived here for a few years now. Good open space for dogs to run around in. Maintenance has always been good as well. Quick responses. Jeanine in the leasing office is good too.
Hopewell Gardens is a good place to consider if you're looking for a basic living arrangement. I lived at HG in building H for a year and a half for a little over $1,000 per month in a small 1 bedroom. It was a no frills apartment, with a very small kitchen(the least amount of counter space imaginable), pipes that seemed to need work a few times a year(hot water supply also wasn't great if multiple people in the building were using it), and I would strongly recommend against it for more than 1 person living there. The walls weren't super thick, so it was sometimes easy to overhear neighbors, but because most of the apartments in building H are on the smaller side, there are less people in them at one time. I did not live on the bottom floor, but the way that the floor creaked in a certain spot made me believe that my downstairs neighbor could hear that. Only Optimum Internet is available in the area and although that isn't a knock against HG and it is good enough for most people, they're terrible to deal with.
The good, however, is that it was relatively clean with no bugs or other pests, the grounds were well maintained, and the leasing office staff is very kind and quick. Jeanine was always able to help me professionally and with courtesy at any time of need. Parking is ample, the laundry room(card operated) can be a little crowded and tough to get laundry done on prime hours during weekends, but included in rent is heat so you can crank it during the winter all you need. On the other hand, the AC was relatively inefficient and often worked worse the hotter it was outside, but my electric bill has never been lower than when I lived at HG. I paid $28 one month. That's crazy. Safety was also never a concern, day or night.
Ultimately, I'd recommend HG to someone who can live fairly simply. If you have a lot of stuff and ideas for a new living space, you might be disappointed trying to execute them all. Hopewell Gardens was a good place for me during this specific time of my life, but it has value for many others too, and I encourage you to at least consider their offerings.
