The food is really good the legals are fresh, the becs are cooked well on good rolls. 5 bucks is a little high but then again everything is expensive in New York (stop voting for democrats!)
It was Xmas Eve and I needed some bagels for an unplanned event. They had fresh bagels and very friendly staff.
Be sure to check your order before leaving. For some reason, even after they write down my order, they get it wrong…eg, adding ketchup when I’ve told them no ketchup, not adding cheese as requested, etc.
I visited this store at around 10:00am on a Sunday. I would expect that especially on Sunday (being the busiest day for bagels) that the bagels would be fresh. Well that is not the case, apparently what they do is cook the bagels one time a day before open, so I figure those bagels are just sitting around for 5 hours or more by 10:00am. That's a shame, bagels are great when they are not hard, this is a local bagel shop. Mom amd pop if you will, I love that but expext better quality then the chain stores. It is more labor intensive to cook bagel say 3 times but the payback in my opinion would be there. I am guessing they don't do to much business after 10 0r 11 with people knowing the bagels are hard.
