A nice little park with a walking path, playground, and soccer fields. It just needs a little more maintenance. It's hard to get to the river even with the little paths they made, and the playground needs a good cleaning.

Have walking circle with excersize stations playground near by. Good place bring doggies. Video surveillance. Along 10mile to do little fishing.

There is no longer a pool here and there hasn't been for a long, long time.
The Pavilion belongs to the J.H. Ketcham Fire Company......Dover Plains, NY, can be rented by contacting them. It's a great place to host a family gathering, party, shower, reunion or anything else within reason.
It's spacious, has bathrooms and is well lit at night.
    Garbage dumpsters.
    Water.
    And spacious parking.
It's also a fenced in area, so the littles are somewhat safe.
Although, they can sneak out. So keep a watchful eye as parking and the river are near.

Used to attend and counsel the day camp no longer offered. Giant pool is gone, not sure if playground is open anymore. Gated but open daily I believe. Good place to fish or access the ten mile river.

Road leading up to park is more pothole than pavement. Serene stream flows at park’s edge, skirted by some dwellings on the stream’s opposite bank. Fenced off pavilion with signs advertising rental. Fire hydrant at park’s entrance. Baseball field with cage both well maintained. Vandalized monument commemorating the park’s namesake. One neighbor giving unneighborly glares to people. There is a basketball hoop, and a small yet modern playground set. The roadway bifurcates towards private property, which appears to be the groundskeeper’s shack.
