My visit to this park was during the hot air balloon festival I found that they were well organize. From the beginning the lines where long to check that you dont have Any food or any weapons. Felt very safe. The place had many food trucks and a Pinic area where you can enjoy the show at night time .theyalso had vendors and area with live music where you could grab a drink. They had portal potties avaliable .
Very beautiful park.. went for the Annual Hot air balloon festival. Very well organized event! Friendly staff/Vendors/ and balloon pilots and crew!
Came tonight for the Balloon Festival! Lines were long to get into but parking lot and entrance BUT moved very quickly and were very well managed! Large crowd but didn’t feel crowded. Balloons were able to go up and the light show and fireworks were beautiful! Food trucks looked great…and the aerial show was great! Definitely recommend this next time it’s in town!! Sadly didn’t get to enjoy the park but based on what I saw will be coming back!
First time there.. did a 4 mile hike for the first time in my 41 years of breathing and I had a blast.. didnt know the waterfalls were there.. ill be jumping in that water in summer for sure.. dont know if im aloud but I will🤷♂️ beautiful💯
This review is for the balloon festival at Tymor Park and not for the park itself.
Our family had a summer home nearby back when this was Tymor Farm and Tymor Forest. Friends were members of the snowmobile club there back in the 1970s, and the park has certainly grown and changed since then.
The balloon festival was, at best, okay.
Excellent:
The balloons were beautiful.
Good:
Variety of food offerings (but pricey).
Maintenance of porta-potties and hand wash stations.
Needs Improvement:
Vendors were mostly cheap flea market grade,
Food was pricey for what you got.
The posted schedule wasn't followed.
Blaring constant country music.
Rides were few, and carnival style.
Crowds were huge and shade minimal.
Security was haphazard: if you're going to wand people, do it on both sides... and jokes about ARs being concealed in beach chair or umbrella cases aren't funny in this day and age.
Some people skipped the actual entry to the festival and simply stayed in or near their parked car, enjoying food and beverages they brought rather than the overpriced food stand offerings.
I wouldn't attend again.
