The dino/fairy trails were under maintenance when we visited, but it's a very nice park even without those. My son loved running under the big canopy tree.
The woman working in the Veteran's Museum was super engaging, and deserves special praise. She let us know about the upcoming toy train exhibition. Wish I had more time to look around.
Update: Train show was wonderful! My 18 month old was enchanted and had a lot of fun.
There was also a scavenger hunt that would be fun for slightly older kids.
We were a small group of 4 adults and we enjoyed posing for photos along the dino pathway and in the fairy pathway with the wings. The flowers around the fountain area were remarkable. I have not seen hibiscus plants that tall in person! We only had about 45 minutes until the park closed so we didn't get to explore more than that. It is a very well maintained place with benches to sit and enjoy the nature.
A very beautiful peaceful park, great trails for children, a dinosaur section which is great, a little fiery section, the children will love it. Plus you can get amazing steps in to get in shape as your children enjoy the many wonders of this beautiful park. The flowers are so beautiful, this is a true place of calm in every way. If you want to get away and fall in love with nature, this is indeed the place to visit!
Very nice park. Grounds were clean and easy to navigate. Wish we came a few weeks earlier to see the foliage. The fairy and Dino parks were awesome! Very cute.
Lasdon Park, Arboretum & Veteran Memorial is an excellent location for a family outing. The park is well-maintained, offering a peaceful place to explore. A highlight for our family is the Dinosaur Trail, which winds through the forest, providing an exciting adventure for kids. However, the trail can be a bit rough for strollers, so caution is advised. Overall, the gardens are beautifully kept, there are seasonal events and there's plenty to see and explore, making it a great destination for nature lovers and families alike.
