Lindsay Rubel is an excellent tax attorney. Several years back I got into a bit of trouble with the IRS over incorrectly filing self-employment taxes. I was battling breast cancer at the time, and really needed an advocate to step in and handle my tax issues so I could focus on my health. Lindsay mediated on my behalf with both the IRS and New York State, and was able to get my balance reduced, my penalties removed, and set up a reasonable payment plan for me that would allow me to pay off my tax debt in a reasonable amount of time without incurring additional penalties.
