We have eaten here numerous times and the food has always been good, but yesterday was a big disappointment. I am not sure if it was because it was a holiday, because they were packed, because they were short-staffed (per the waitress) or a combination of all 3, but our experience left much to be desired. We both ordered the Chicken and Eggplant Parmigiana Lunch Special which according to the menu and your website is "breaded cutlet, fried bell peppers, eggplant, tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese served open faced on garlic bread". I ordered mine without the peppers, and we both asked for the Garlic Bread on the Side. After quite a wait our lunch arrived and shortly thereafter we realized that there was absolutely no tomato sauce on top of or in between the chicken and the eggplant on either lunch. Our waitress was nowhere to be found, so we called over the waitress from the next table and said that there was no tomato sauce on either one. She mumbled something and then dropped off a cup of sauce at the table. Finally after quite some time our waitress came over, so I told her about the lack of tomato sauce and her rude response was that "we never put tomato sauce on the lunch special, we always put it on the side". I have NEVER heard anything so ridiculous, but it that was really the way you serve it, why didn't she bother to bring us the tomato sauce from the beginning?!? We asked her for containers to take the rest of the food home and we waited for about 20 minutes before she finally brought them over. I guess because we were only a party of 2 vs her other tables of 7 or 8 we were not a priority for her. Unfortunately, if that is the way you treat your customers, I won't be back anytime in the near future nor would I recommend your establishment.

We spent the afternoon at a luncheon that little Sorrento. This restaurant is warm and cozy and the staff is fantastic. The bread here is delicious and so is the fried zucchini. The bruschetta toast was nice and spicy. They have an excellent sauce salad and they make a very decent penne vodka. The eggplant roll the tanning was good and so was the Chicken Parmesan. Our friends were raving about the wine and We must admit the iced tea was terribly refreshing and the help even served me my own personal crap with lemon wedgess on the side. The food was wonderful and tasty. We were served delicious fresh hot coffee with powdered zeppoles with raspberry sauce. The dining room has warm and friendly atmosphere and the bathroom is nice and clean. They have a nice bar and the place is very bright. It's a great family place and we would recommend taking a date here. The experience was absolutely terrific. With everything that was so delicious, they might want to call it Grande Sorrento. It's not cheap but the portions are good.

We had chicken Parmesan & chicken franchese. Very good food. Generous portions. Waitress & staff were nice. The price is a good value, and the place looks wonderful for families.

Went here for a weekday dinner and the food was pretty good. For starters the bread they give you was great, it was warm with a nice crust and soft inside. For an appetizer we ordered the fried calamari. The calamari was very tender and flavorful, however it was on the greasy side which made it a bit soggy. For dinner I went with the fettuccine benvenuto. The chicken was great but I think the sauce could have used a bit more flavor.

The shrimp francese was amazing. The shrimps were large and tender and the roasted potatoes were a nice addition. The chocolate implosion for dessert was also great.

It started perfectly with lovely service and warm delicious bread. The complimentary salad was fresh and good. I ordered the lasagna as the lady insisted it was fresh. My husband ordered the spicy pasta with chicken. My red meat lasagnas was somehow white and tasteless and cold in the middle. I would not recommend. The pasta my husband took was good, although we both couldn’t move or food coma after just a couple bites as it was super rich.
