Very helpful staff, even took the sweater I wanted off the mannequin because it was the only one left in stock; fit perfectly too. Overall a great experience and offers a student discount which is amazing.

1/6/26 First time here. Forget about finding fly tying or fly fishing goods at this location. The manager was kind but lacked knowledge. I was looking for a white fleece jacket. We walked around and I politely ended the search. Later, I found that the Patagonia Retro fleece jacket, in white, is sold on the web site. I bought it from REI, off the shelf, discounted. I will be compensated too because its a co op. I did buy a sweater and two yeti style coffee mugs. Additionally, I purchased a mail order for a sweater they discounted, but not in my size. The cashier rounded down her lack of pennies and forcefully implied my compliance-- with the finality of her tone, stating she is out of pennies. When I asked when the parcel will ship she dismissively replied it will be e-mailed to me. I later found "3 days" printed on the receipt. Prices are high, very high. I usually shop online or at Marshalls. Even sales required a commitment. The sweaters were not heavy like abercrombie and finch and showed not quality representative of justification for the prices. So, I would say that overall this was a poor experience. Women's and men's sections were not clearly labeled, as well. At home, I found the coffee cups to be much poorer quality than yeti. They are thin and the lids project a plastic piece when opened. The store reminds me of the old Orvis in Greenvale. Greenvale Orvis saw its death knell shortly after removing the fly fishing and fly tying gear. By doing this, they abandoned their base customers and forgot that even if those items were not selling it was part of the immersive experience. In 2025 Orvis closed most of its stores in the NY region and if I recall correctly, 200 across the nation. This on the heels of 5 or so years catering to the woke agenda and alienating its base. Im a consumer providing a Clarion call to you: Wake up!

My husband and I went the LL Bean in Smithtown. It was really nice. The sales people were very helpful and I am happy with my purchase

I feel so bad I don't know the store employees name who helped me but he is top tier material and the store should really give him a raise. He was very kind and helped me with everything from shoes to bedding to coats. Shopping stresses me out as someone on the spectrum, and I just want to thank this man for being the epitome of professionalism!
