Mt Zion Baptist Church

So I found my way to Mt Zion Baptist Church of Jamaica, NY, and the pastor’s sermon was about DEPRESSION, the heavyweight champion of the world, the real pandemic!!! I tell you, the way every word of that sermon went through my soul had me in there ugly crying. I bared witness as Pastor Leach exposed the bad spirits that had attached to so many members of the congregation…sheesh I was not alone, this was the very reason I went in the first place….I tell you that pastor walked around having personal conversations and laying hands on almost every individual person in that church! We were all hurting! In all my years growing up in the church, bible study, VBS, prayer meetings, choir rehearsals, etc. NEVERRR have I witnessed such anointing and compassion from a pastor to his congregation. I just am on the edge of my seat to see what is in store this Sunday when I make my way back in there! Thank you God for leading me to this place, at this time to receive my first round of many on my road to healing and deliverance! You are so intentional and I am surrendering my heart to you…I know I have a long way to go but I promise I am now ready to be present in my own breakthrough! In Jesus’ name

Welcoming Pastor who brings the Word. This church reminds you of being part of a family. Welcoming and inviting. Love the "traditional" vibe.

Went there to volunteer at a NACA event. Very good location. The basement is a multipurpose space used for soup kitchen, senior citizen classes and such

My family nd i went to a service on psalm Sunday for the first time. I felt comfortable welcomed nd a sense of belonging the pastor has a comforting spirit he insisted on us coming again.. We haven't revisited as of yet however we are going to the afternoon service, looking forward to the message..
