This dojo has taught my son how to be confidence and courageous.
The feeling of family that the owners and all senseis and kyoshis give you is incredible. Kyoshi Herman is the owner and has an incredible way of teaching children through storytelling. My son has grown so much since beginning here and I only wish we could come more often.

Long overdue review here…. This is a wonderful place for anyone who wants to belong to a great dojo. My son is 7 he is been training for 2 years and he has learn so much… some of the things kids learn are discipline and endurance mentally and physically, how to defend themselves and how to avoid conflict; but most importantly kids learn how to respect others and also they learn all sort of social skills and the sense of comradely. Everyone there treats you like family and you feel like family. The instructors are great people, they show so much respect to the kids and parents is admirable.

New Generation Karate is truly a remarkable place. My kids enrolled last year but I wish I started them earlier. They’re learning karate and how to defend themselves, but they’re also learning so much more. Such as respect, perseverance, self control, hard work and discipline. Kyoshi Herman runs a structured educational karate class where his students learn all these life lessons while having fun. It’s neither boring nor routine. Each class Kyoshi Herman offers something new and worthwhile for his students practice or ponder. My kids enjoy each class and I enjoy attending class too. In fact I hear myself quoting Kyoshi at home. I often reinforce what I’ve heard him say in class. In summary, the dojo is a safe, controlled environment for kids to actively participate in martial arts while at the same time respecting each other as well as their teacher.

Finding New Generation Karate was a beautiful surprise and blessing. For a long time I wanted to enroll my kids in karate, but was unsure where to send them. I heard about New Gen from a friend and I decided to check it out. It was the BEST decision! Kyoshi Herman is so welcoming, naturally caring and extremely dedicated. I have a difficult time trusting anyone with my kids who are now 6 and 9, but honestly I could sense the sincere kindness and passion that he has to help his students achieve their personal best not only in karate, but in life. His wife Kristal and the entire staff are welcoming, caring and really know our kids.
My kids LOVE him and love attending the classes. I couldn’t ask for anything better. They have been taking classes for about a year and I have not only noticed growth in their technique, but also it has had an impact on their attitude and perspective in life. Kyoshi Herman is a passionate instructor who takes the time to know every student individually and inspires them with his genuine care and love of teaching. We tried other karate studios where there was a stark contrast in the quality of attending to each students strengths and weaknesses, both physically and emotionally.
