Low key train station for MTA & Amtrak. You can park here, buy your ticket on the platform and there is an indoor area to wait if it’s too hot or cold outside.
I enjoy waiting for the train here. The station is always clean, machines work properly (I suggest using the app Train Time on your phone), and the view is beautiful. In the winter months, there is an excessive use of salt pebbles, which actually makes it dangerous because it makes it easier to fall due to the salt peebles on the floor. There is construction going on right now to better the station, and there is a temporary metal ramp that is also covered in salt pebbles. Hopefully, when they are done, we will have a better station.
Limited parking on site, but accessible from both sides (tracks) by way of an underpass. Well illuminated, and in good repair. Heated enclosure and ramps on both sides.
The new Hamburg circuit on the Hudson side. This must be a small depot on the Hudson or Harlem Lines. As in all stations, there must be several (always) parking spaces. The platforms were clean. I liked the under-walk …

River House at 10 Main St on the Hudson side of New Hamburg track. Cute place- Friendly young owner- Good menu serving breakfast and lunch. Soon to be offering dinner on Fridays. Swedish cook!
