I have a job 5 minutes away nearby, and it's my first time in 1 year and 2 months. It's the best coastal park for quiet and lunch. It's perfect for me because I like the sea.
Loved this hidden gem . So clean and like private beach , place for a quiet family time . I went for OPA dragonboat festival . Very well organized . At the end we did lantern festival . Highly recommended.
Great views and sunsets on the beach. Covered picnic area. Excellent summer concerts series
North Hempstead Beach Park is my go-to spot for recreation and relaxation with family and friends. The long boardwalk offers breathtaking views, and the park hosts various events throughout the holidays. What I appreciate most is the community's dedication to protecting the environment and water quality in the area. The use of oysters to clean the water is a fascinating initiative that showcases the park's commitment to sustainability.
I've had the pleasure of having picnics and gatherings here several times, and it's wonderful to see the park's natural beauty. Recently, I had the opportunity to drop off a family member for volunteer work with a Long Island-based organization focused on rewilding, environmental conservation, and science projects. It was inspiring to see the impact of community efforts in preserving our natural resources.
The combination of recreational activities, environmental initiatives, and community engagement makes North Hempstead Beach Park a truly special place. I'm grateful for the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful spot while also contributing to its preservation.
Nice beach with a fair bit of amenities. They’re bathrooms, volleyball nets, basketball hoops and lots of parking….just a hop and skip away from the beach. The water isn’t the best quality and the shoreline has a lot of small pebbles, so be prepared. Overall it’s a nice place to visit with your family.
