I came back here after being away from the area for 4 years and it's like coming home. I love that they still have one of the best collections of science fiction and fantasy on the island. I was impressed by a sewing class they looked to be setting up for the next day. I hope to take it one day.
Wish they offered more programs for adults.
Coming from middle country library, We were looking for similar type programs for adults, for example stained glass classes,simple adult painting classes, cooking classes, seminars. Just a little more programming and activities for the adults would be nice :-)
***Overall it is a friendly and clean Library.
I love going to this library. The children’s area is great lots for even the Little’s to do. I also love all their programs and the quiet room in the back
One of the last good known local libraries around that still actually operates like a modern day library.
From time to time like today, they're having a function downstairs the library.
I notice a very large and friendly staff, very comfortable building inside and out. Air conditioning works everywhere, there's wifi and security cameras everywhere.
I work there from time to time as a security guard and its always a shock to see how busy they get. A traditional library with innovative forward thinking.
Also, you might want to join and be a member. They have great perks like fast food discounts for doing so.
