This restaurant exceeds expectations every time. While we love coming here any time of the year, we especially enjoy it when it’s decorated for the holidays. There are always some fun mocktails and cocktails to try and the menu offers things we don’t see at other places. The BBQ pork Pretzel as a starter is a winner! Staff is very attentive, warm atmosphere even on the coldest nights with a roaring fire.
We LOVE this place. We stayed there in 2003 for a mini-honeymoon, were SAD to hear it had closed (for a while) and were THRILLED to learn (belatedly) that it had finally reopened, so we went for a weekend to celebrate our anniversary. The giant old floorboards and cozy basement tavern/bar take you back in time, and Jeff takes SUPER great care of you. The food--breakfast and dinner--is delicious, and the rooms could not be more charming, in a quirky way, not that too-FLORAL and "country inn" style of so many B&Bs. We truly relaxed and cannot wait to go back.
Stayed in the Cleopatra suite and enjoyed our stay. Very nice room and bathroom. Lovely fireplace and clawfoot tub.
I haven’t stayed here but have eaten at the restaurant several times and have always been impressed with the freshness of the food and amazing service - friendly and efficient . The ambiance of the dining area is amazing - great for a romantic date or a family dinner. Highly recommend!
Don’t just get away for a night, step back in time in this cozy authentic 1700’s inn.
There isn’t a level floor in the place so you don’t get more old and charming than this!
The rooms are sweet and cozy and you even get a lush bathrobe to hang out in. The bathrooms are modern spotless and you have everything you need. This is a great break from boring daily life. Jeff is the property manager and your host; he graciously welcomes you when you arrive bakes fresh cookies before dinner and makes coffee and breakfast in the morning. The restaurant downstairs is just as wonderful…great food great ambience and great service.
