This is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the Hudson river. It is very picturesque and you can take great pictures here. Great place to have a walk, or read a book. It can get pretty loud though. There are helicopters landing around here often.
This is a great pier for helicopter watching! They take off often from the BLADE helipad just a few blocks up. I was here on a Sunday morning and they were coming and going constantly.
Pier 64 at Hudson River Park is a serene escape in the heart of NYC. With its lush lawns, stunning views of the Hudson River, and peaceful atmosphere, it’s the perfect spot to relax, picnic, or catch the sunset. The pier’s unique design extends into the river, offering panoramic views of the city skyline and New Jersey waterfront. Whether you’re looking for a quiet retreat or a scenic walk, Pier 64 combines natural beauty with urban charm, making it a must-visit destination.
Easily a favourite place of mine. Very tranquil, even with crowds of people strolling by or with tourists taking pictures. There's lots of space for all, plenty of seats. If only something could be done with the smoking policy of the park. It is even more splendid on a sunny day with the sunlight bouncing off the waters. I think the area benefitted greatly from the opening of Hudson Yards a few years ago. The area is now a lot more polished, secure and cleaner than before. Even a solo walk in the night during the winter season is not a problem in terms of safety.
I'm surprised this doesn't have more reviews! It was one of my favorite spots. I was only in Manhattan 4 days, and I came here twice.
It's lovely at sunset and really gave me my nature fix. The breeze felt great, the sun was nice, and it wasn't super crowded. Lots of people were jogging, and the whole vibe was just lovely and refreshing. A nice break from the bustle of the city.
