FREE PARKING LONG TERM PARKING ON SAT & SUN needs some TLC but can't beat free :)

To begin, accessibility parking options are poor. We only saw a few surface level spots and barely any in the parking garage. There should have been a few near each stairwell. During our visit, the elevator nearest the entrance to the station was out of order.

The station is not air conditioned which made it uncomfortable on a summer day in June.

Our train was 20 minutes late but after arriving we barely had time to take the elevator from the station to the platform before “last call” was announced.

Amtrak staff were what we’ve come to expect - a clear desire NOT to be Amtrak Staff and a clear contempt for the tasks they must complete.

We intentionally drove from Albany to Poughkeepsie to shorten the time on the train. The drive was straight forward but I don’t think that we would choose to leave from this station again.

Easy access to train station. However your door needs to be made to be handicap accessible. I hit my elbows going in and leg coming out. Not wide enough for my wheelchair!

First time riding a train, had to ask a girl how to get tickets because they are all done by machine, no people at the windows or anyone around to help. Rode the train into Grand Central Station to spend the day. Train ride was fun and different. Will try this again now that I know how to get tickets...lol Was a pleasant experience.
